Responsible Tourism Could Save our Planet

Updated: Jun 24, 2018

Responsible tourism plays a major role in shaping our world. Some of the crystal clear turquoise water we have around world today are most alluring qualities and never fails to delight tourists.

What you should know: how you dispose of waste water and litter can make a big difference to the quality of the water.

Today a thought crossed my mind about life and values, I asked myself what is life without value and what is value without life and I realize the two of them must work in synchronized manner in other to function!. From another perspective, however, these phenomena share important features.

Value is to life as life is to Value

Synchronization can be described from two perspectives: at the level of muscle groups that are totally responsible for different faction but must be coordinated in time to coalesce into an activity (e.g.,There is no value without life and without life value is meaningless thus; life and value must fuse together in perfect harmony. Surely our wirldlives are valuable to us.

Every living thing deserves a chance of survival otherwise we are equally don't hold our valuable. We hear stories of poachers killing wwildlives around the world all around and it infuriates us. Why? do we caress much about wildlife's that could kill us is given the chance, upsetting eh?

The question is, is it worth the headache? Is it worth worrying about it at all? Sure, it will be sad if there aren't any more cute dolphins on the planet, but it's not like we depend on them. Besides, surely it's more important to take care of humans – who, let's face it, have their own problems to worry about – than to spend millions of dollars preserving animals. What is the point of conserving this beasts?

The answer to your question my friend is simple-nature is beautiful, and that value is dear to my heart and with that in mind I wrote this piece my way of paying it forward.

How does sewage and wastewater cause water pollution?

The waste water pollution causes the quality of the water to deteriorate and affects aquatic ecosystems. Pollutants can also seep down and effect groundwater deposits. sewage and industrial wastes are discharged into the rivers. Because of this, pollutants enter groundwater, rivers, and other water bodies, and coral reef ecology is extremely sensitive to even a slight decline in water quality. Litter is as unpleasant to human as it is to marine life and animal and could cause a significant danger to wildlife. There is need to exercise a great need of caution in your use of chemicals and plastics. By chemicals, I mean all the substances you use in your operation, both the hazardous and the harmless-That sunscreen bottle or plastic you can't wait to use in your next vacation.

Let's dig deeper a little

Biotic factors: of a coral reef ecosystem would include the living coral polyps and associated zooxanthellae (algae). Additionally, fish, aquatic plants, and other organisms living in and around the reef would be considered biotic factors.

Abiotic factors: limit distribution and abundance by affecting an organism's life processes. In an estuarine ecosystem these factors are light, oxygen, water, nutrients, temperature, salinity, and space.

So what does it all mean?

Functions of Coral Reefs: Coral reefs are important for many different reasons aside from supposedly containing the most diverse ecosystems on the planet.

They:

protect coastlines from the damaging effects of wave action and tropical storms

provide habitats and shelter for many marine organisms are the source of nitrogen and other essential nutrients for marine food chains. Such as reefs provide spawning, nursery, refuge and feeding areas for a large variety of organisms, including sponges, cnidarians, worms, crustaceans, shrimp, spiny, lobsters and crabs), molluscs (including cephalopods), echinoderms (including starfish, sea urchins and sea cucumbers), sea squirts, sea turtles and sea. Obviously the reason why a large numbers of marine species live in reefs. Other reasons why they are so important include:

The fishing industry depends on coral reefs because many fish spawn there and juvenile fish spend time there before making their way to the open sea

Do you know?

The study of coral reefs is important for providing a clear, scientifically-testable record of climatic events over the past million years or so. This includes records of recent major storms and human impacts that are recorded by the changes in coral growth patterns.

Importance of healthy ecosystems: Reducing biodiversity through the extinction of species inevitably leads to the breakdown in ecosystem health and function. Healthy ecosystems are essential to provide us with:

natural resources, such as foods and drugs, social, cultural and recreational activities and that includeds that gorgeous beach we all visited last summer.

Why coral reefs are endangered?

Coral reefs are endangered by a variety of factors, including: natural phenomena such as hurricanes, e.g El Niño, and diseases; local threats such as overfishing, destructive fishing techniques, coastal development, pollution, and careless tourism, as well as the global effects of climate change—warming seas and increasing levels.

How can we help save the coral reefs?

Saving the reef requires a collective effort.

This post is meant to remind us of the importance of responsible tourism. Avoid dumping plastic shopping bags, empty cream tube, or abandoned flip-flops.

Over a billion of plastic bags as well as flipflop and tubes are washed up in our beaches..

I look forward to your comments and awesome holiday pics if you would care to share. I will be super grateful either way.

In the meantime do have a wonderful Holliday!!

Warm Kisses
