Vacation for me is all about the safety, people, food and the culture. Although I love seeing major iconic structures, my most memorable ones are the those times I had to struggle to communicate with the locals for directions and my very interest in hands-on traveling and volunteering that has proven the most memorable and rewarding.

And perhaps it’s this very reason I started this blog since traveling is my passion, I love adventure! Although while some countries will catch you off guard, the surprise and unexpected embarrassing event you experience is priceless!. Secrets Journals of Travelers

There are rules for life at home, and then there are rules for life on the road. It seems that for many of us we throw normal standards straight out the window as soon as we sling on a backpack and enter a foreign country. Here are a few of those embarrassing moments we've all had, but will never admit to when we get back eh,?

2- The weather was bone-chilling, water was cold, or perhaps there was no running water at all. We've all resorted to the wet-wipe wash at some point during our travels. And of course, it's essential to document how many days unwashed you are, if only as a disclaimer for the smell!

3-You were thirsty and you gulped down a glass of water and regret it instantly. You find your self, squirming and scanning for the quickest route to a toilet no matter who's, or you are unlucky to be in a bus all cross-legged, or perhaps you're hiking in the wilderness with a group of handsome or beautiful strangers you only met that morning, you know will finally scramble shamelessly behind a spindly bush to do your business. It's natural, right?.

4- It begins with the Holiday Spirit-HS which make it ok to lose your dress sense. You find yourself face to face with drop dead gorgeous looking stranger and you suddenly looked at the mirror in the hotel lobby only to find a grumpy looking stranger staring back at you in bewilderment the stranger looks like he/she has been dragged through a bush backwards, only problem is that stranger was you! and so you feign ignorance of your look gave the stranger one last look and stomped off angry at yourself. We've all been there.

5-Your card has been cancelled for "unusual activity" overseas, or maybe you just budgeted poorly. Whatever happened, you are thousands of miles away from home and you don't have a penny to your name. Calling home for cash is always embarrassing still you don't have choice suddenly a teaching job look appealing, he hehe hehe

6- You got a little tippy as a result of a nice evening drink you shared with a total stranger both of you decided to take a walk along the beach in Maui or someplace else, time stood still, the moment between the two of you is what really matters under the enchanted moonlight and so the night got realy special. You woke up, it's morning slowly taking your time to adjust to the glaring sunlight creeping through the curtains, that was when reality crept it! your turned to side and there is your stranger sleeping peacefully, and what came out of your lips was "Who the hell are you"?- Shame and regrets crept in, you don't even remember the strangers name- Never been there don't bother we aint in the same shoes hehe hehe

Travelers Shopping and Souvenirs Tips

Getting a souvenir for our loved ones it's an essential part of any trip, an activity we all take part in. "There's always the time" we keep telling ourselves until we realize we only only two days left of your vacation, and we still haven’t gone souvenir shopping. Sometimes we find ourselves biting our lips and wondering what to get, we've all experienced that. Souvenir buying is supposed to be an enjoyable part of the travel experience, nowadays it has become an obligatory routine.

The global economy for ill-conceived souvenir purchases is staggering. According to CNN In 2013 alone, travelers spent a total of $2.3 billion on souvenirs that were subsequently ignored, unused, unappreciated, unworn, discarded, disliked, ridiculed and/or stuffed in bottom drawers and backs of closets never to be seen again.

Use this guide tip for your next trip to help you choose the perfect travel souvenir for absolutely anyone.

"Souvenir generally depends upon Individual like's and dislikes, so be careful"

If the person you are buying the gift for is picky then you are in trouble, so my advice is to find out what they like.

Beware of Prohibited and Restricted Items

You would be surprised how many souvenirs people purchase that aren’t allowed out of the country they’re visiting or into the country they’re flying to.

Additionally, foods and drinks often have very specific laws regarding what you can transport.

Here are Your Safety Tips

1- Listen to your intuition. If something doesn’t feel right to you, it probably isn’t.

2-Don't play the hero you are not comfortable get away fast!

3- (For road trips) Be sure you know where you are going. Double check your directions, especially if you will be driving at night. Join membership with AAA just in case for additional safety precautionary measures if you are travel by road.

4-Inform your immediate family member or friend about your itinerary, and keep them abreast of any changes you make along the way. Make a metal note of who to call in case of an emergency, don't forget!.

Keep the list of who to call during emergency with you always. Write the name with food menu and numbers to look much like restaurant contact numbers for additional security in the case of kidnap and keep a copy with you stashed in your suitcase.

5-Some airports will not allow you to “camp” near the gate overnight while you wait for your next flight. This means that you could be asked to return to the main terminal, and wait overnight with bunch of people who may or may not be ticketed passengers. If this should happen to you, stay in a well-lit area where many other stranded passengers have gathered. If you do not feel safe, explain your situation to someone at the ticket counter and ask for a hotel voucher.

6-Do not carry a large amount of cash. Instead, get a travel’s checks through your local bank. In addition, leave behind any credit cards you won’t be using, and make sure you have the account numbers and company phone numbers for the ones you’ll be bringing with you.

Local- They are easy rip-off, they buy and pay for just about anything, and oh; the ladies, I enjoy hanging around them because I often get asked to pose in pictures for what they girls call "Selfie"don't know what that means but I enjoy being squashed in the middle of beautiful women he hehe he

Journalist- Yes, ok, what can you say about me because I am also a tourist here

Local- I've known you since you arrived here 6 months ago, sunbathed, chased the locals and tourist girls around, drank to stupor a couple of times and ended up broke.
