Couple Scuba Diving

Hey, if you love the aquatic life and it' thrills, then you should try scuba diving adventure in Thailand. Try the Hin-Daeng and Hin-Mouang also known as the red and purple rock. If you’re a ‘life-below-water’ fan, this is your best shot to see gray sharks and manta rays. However, that’s not all you get as at the red and purple rock; you get an exciting experience of diving Thailand’s biggest vertical wall, next to caverns and caves that add a thrill to the adventure. These dive sites are feeding grounds for pelagic fish, allowing you to see lots of large creatures during your dive. The currents in these areas can be quite strong so experienced divers are recommended.

Highlights: Large pelagics, cave dive, Grey Reef and Leopard Shark sightings, and if you’re lucky, you can also spot a whale shark which occasionally hangs around this spot.

"Before You visit Thai, learn a bit more about Thai history, culture and food"

The Importance of Food in Thai Culture

In Thailand, food forms a central part of any social occasions and vice versa. That is, food often becomes the social occasion in itself,or reason to celebrate. This is partly due to the friendly, social nature of Thai people, but also because of the way in which food is ordered and eaten in Thailand. Thai diners order larger portions of different dishes however, all dishes are shared and enjoyed together as many Thais believe that eating alone is bad luck.

It is offensive to dispose leftovers, throwing away food enrages the Thai “god of rice”,(Thai culture & belief) a female deity who watches over the people, ensuring everyone has enough to eat. Bad luck or even widespread famine may then ensu-(Thai's myth).

Thai meal is usually served in four main seasonings: salty, sweet, sour, and spicy, Thai people do not considere any food satisfying unless all four tastes are combined.

Dessert may consist simply of fresh fruit, such as pineapple, or something more exotic as the colorful rice cake.

Floating market

Is a market where goods are sold from boats. Originating in times and places where water transport played an important role in daily life, most floating markets operating today mainly serve as tourist attractions, and are chiefly found in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India. Almost every traveller has a visit to a floating market in mind on his first trip to Bangkok. Some will succeed, but the large majority will be discouraged by the distance, the price of the tour and defini tely the ludicrously early wake up time. who wants to get up at 5 a.m. while on holiday? But why even bother waking up so early when there are actually more than five floating markets around Bangkok open all day, including a small but very nice one just 12 km from Siam Parin tagon?

You can be there before lunch without having to sacrifice your sleep!

Further information: Tourism in Thailand

Thailand, officially the Kingdom of Thailand and formerly known as Siam, is a unitary state at the center of the Southeast Asian Indochinese peninsula composed of 76 provinces. At 513,120 km2 and over 68 million people, Thailand is the world's 50th largest country by total area and the 21st-most-populous country. The capital and largest city is Bangkok, a special administrative area.

The national Airline carrier is Thai Airways, tourism makes up about 6% of the economy. Thailand was the most visited country in Southeast Asia in 2013, according to the World Tourism Organisation. Estimates of tourism receipts directly contributing to the Thai GDP of 12 trillion baht range from 9 percent (1 trillion baht) (2013) to 16 percent. When including the indirect effects of tourism, it is said to account for 20.2 percent (2.4 trillion baht) of Thailand's GDP.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) uses the slogan "Amazing Thailand" to promote Thailand internationally. In 2015, this was supplemented by a "Discover Thainess" campaign. Asian tourists primarily visit Thailand for Bangkok and the historical, natural, and cultural sights in its vicinity. Western tourists not only visit Bangkok and surroundings, but in addition many travel to the southern beaches and islands. The north is the chief destination for trekking and adventure travel with its diverse ethnic minority groups and forested mountains. The region hosting the fewest tourists is Isan in the northeast. To accommodate foreign visitors, the Thai government established a separate tourism police with offices in the major tourist areas and its own central emergency telephone number. Thailand's attractions include diving, sandy beaches, hundreds of tropical islands, nightlife, archaeological sites, museums, hill tribes, flora and bird life, palaces, Buddhist temples and several World Heritage sites. Many tourists follow courses during their stay in Thailand. Popular are classes in Thai cooking, Buddhism and traditional Thai massage. Thai national festivals range from Thai New Year Songkran to Loy Krathong. Many localities in Thailand also have their own festivals. Among the best-known are the "Elephant Round-up" in Surin, the "Rocket Festival" in Yasothon and the "Phi Ta Khon" festival in Dan Sai. Thai cuisine has become famous worldwide with its enthusiastic use of fresh herbs and spices.
